Elijah Arranz Canberra Sprint Coach, November 19, 2015October 22, 2023 On Saturday November 21, 2015, tragedy struck. Elijah Arranz was involved in an incredibly serious accident. He was in critical condition which was earth shattering for his family. Elijah was not a member of FAST, he was indeed a much loved member of the local athletics community, affectionately known as the “boy who loves to run“. Our Head Coach immediately began rallying support behind Elijah’s family, including the establishment of a fund-raising site on Go-Fund Me. So many generous Canberrans got behind Elijah and donated kindly to assist with his recovery. Athletics is better known outside the sport for its competitiveness and moments like these, remind us that we are one community and have each others backs when things get tough. Community News
