Throws Clinic at Dickson Oval Canberra Running Coach, January 25, 2025February 4, 2025 FAST Running recently held a specialised throws clinic at Dickson Oval, the home of Corroboree Little Athletics, helping keen young athletes refine their Shot Put, Discus, and Javelin techniques. With expert coaching and a focus on technical development, the clinic provided a valuable opportunity for Little Athletes to improve their skills in a supportive and high-performance environment. 🏆 Big Improvements & Personal Bests!Athletes made the most of the clinic, achieving new personal bests and gaining a deeper understanding of their throwing mechanics. Beyond the distances, they left with greater confidence, refined technique, and experience learning from top-level coaches. 💡 High-Performance Coaching for Young AthletesThe clinic focused on key technical elements, including:✅ Shot Put – Foot positioning, glide/rotation techniques, and explosive power✅ Discus – Grip, release angles, and rotational control✅ Javelin – Run-up mechanics, arm positioning, and follow-through By adapting elite-level knowledge to suit young athletes, our coaches helped ensure that each participant left the clinic with practical improvements they could take back to Little Athletics and school competitions.
