Alumnus: Chris Mecham

Canberra Sprint Coach,

Chris Mecham trained with FAST until January 2018. Chris represented the ACT at 3 National Championships, making 6 Finals. Chris won his first National medal in the 11 Years 4x100m Final with a Bronze.

As is the case sometimes in Athletics as a junior athlete especially, Chris’ heat time in the 2014 100m would have placed him second in the final and a silver medal. In 2015, his heat time in the 100m would have placed him third and a bronze medal. Chris’ 2015 200m time would have given him 4th in the U14 200m Final in 2017.

  • 2017 Australian Athletics Championships: U16 4x200m (6th), U14 100m (6th) 12.56s, U14 200m (10th) 27.27s.
  • 2015, 12 Years & Under Track & Field Championships: Boys 11Y 100m (6th) 13.26s, 200m (4th) 26.59s, 4x100m (3rd).
  • 2014, 12 Years & Under Track & Field Championships: Boys 10Y 100m (8th) 14.24s, 200m (9th) 28.74s
