Daniel nabs bronze in ALAC thriller Canberra Sprint Coach, April 17, 2022February 7, 2024 Daniel Nwaobi has stormed into a medal position at the 2022 Australian Little Athletics Championships in Melbourne with an emphatic announcement to his competitors. Having gone under the radar for most for the season at the two previous national championships, Juniors and All Schools, Daniel has declared “I’m ready” with blistering personal best of nearly half a second to just be nudged for the silver medal by the smallest of margins of 0.05s. Daniel’s time of 12.27s is the fastest U13 100m time by a FAST athlete in history and has him firmly in the reckoning for future championship finals. Daniel who only started running in late 2020, has seen a rapid improvement especially since March 2022, where he ran the Junior Nationals final, finishing 8th with a new PB of 12.60s. The medal caps a successful breakout season for Daniel who also won a bronze medal at the recent Australian Under Age Track & Field Championships in Sydney along with his FAST team mate Joshua Smith in the U14 4x100m Relay.
