This vibrant and engaging event brought young athletes together to refine their sprinting techniques and develop essential agility skills under the expert guidance of FAST’s top coaches. Led by High-Performance Coach Steve Dodt, with support from FAST Kids’ coaches Rose Catejan, Nick Porter and Daniel Nwaobi, the clinic delivered high-energy sessions tailored to athletes of all skill levels. From the first warm-up to the final sprint, participants were immersed in drills and exercises designed to maximize their speed, enhance coordination, and build confidence on the track. The clinic’s curriculum included explosive starts, quick direction changes, and sprint mechanics, all delivered in an encouraging and supportive environment. Coach Steve Dodt shared insights from his years of experience coaching elite athletes, while Rose Catejan and Daniel Nwaobi brought their dynamic coaching styles to inspire the younger athletes to push their limits and have fun doing it. The synthetic turf at Nicholls provided a fantastic venue for this spring holiday clinic, offering a safe and professional surface for athletes to train on. The spring weather added to the energy of the day, with participants and coaches alike enjoying the opportunity to be outdoors and active. Parents and athletes praised the clinic for its balance of skill-building and enjoyment. One parent commented, “The coaches were amazing, and my child has already been practicing the drills at home! We’ll definitely be attending future FAST events.” Young athletes also left the clinic with a renewed enthusiasm for sprinting, many sharing their excitement to test their new skills in upcoming competitions. FAST Running is proud to have hosted another successful Accelerate clinic, continuing to inspire the next generation of sprinters and athletes. These events are a cornerstone of FAST’s commitment to fostering talent and providing opportunities for young athletes to grow both on and off the track.
