Alumna: Nathalie Cerritelli Canberra Sprint Coach, March 20, 2018October 28, 2023 Nathalie Cerritelli (Nat) trained with FAST until the end of the 2017-18 season. Nat represented the ACT at four National Championships. Nat was a 100/200m sprinter and hurdler. Nat was the ACT State Champion in these events on multiple occasions. Nat received The Pierre de Coubertin Award that recognises secondary school students who demonstrate values, which are consistent with the Olympic Movement through participation in sporting activities. More than 15,000 young Australians have received the Award since its inception in 1993 including fellow FAST athlete Matt Walters. The Children’s Week Endeavour Award is presented to persons aged 18 years and under who make extraordinary contributions to other young people – through volunteer work, advocacy, or being good role models for other children and young people. Nat received this award in 2017. Nat is two truly deserving recipients of the ACT Children’s Week Endeavour Award – Nathalie spends much of her time helping in the community. She coaches young boys and girls at athletics and it is not uncommon to see hordes of 6 year olds running after Nathalie with joy, hope, love and enthusiasm. Nat was a Club Captain with Ginninderra Athletics. Nathalie has a lot of self-drive as exemplified by her desire to start her own business NattiC a clothing business with original, strong, inspirational quotes for girls and boys. Nathalie sees a need to inspire and support young people and wants to make a difference. Her quotes are uplifting, inspiring and bring hope. In all Nathalie does she sees others and wants to support all. 2017 Australian Junior Championships: U20 13.08s. 2016 Australian Junior Championships: U20 12.91s, 200m 27.63s. 2015 Australian Junior Track & Field Championships: U18 100m 13.26s, 100m Hurdles 17.79s. 2010, 12 Years and Under Track & Field Championship: 12Y 200m 29.88s. “Steve Dodt brought junior coaching to Ginninderra athletics, where senior athletes coach junior athletes between the ages of 5-9 years old, which inspired me and encouraged me to become an athletics coach with Athletics Australia.” “A few times I have turned up to hurdle training and been the only one, Steve always joins in so I don’t feel awkward doing the hurdle drills by myself, which shows in itself how passionate he is about his athletes and athletics. Steve also offers scholarships for athletes that he knows will continuously come to training and this is great as many families money isn’t always available for sporting opportunities.” Alumni Community Hurdles News Testimonials FAST FemalesGinninderra Athletics
