Since bursting onto the national stage in 2022, Daniel Nwaobi has proven himself as one of the ACT’s most consistent sprint performers. A two-time national championship medalist, Daniel has competed in an incredible seven National Championship finals across the 100m and 200m, showcasing his speed, resilience, and competitive spirit.
A proud member of FAST Performance for the past three seasons, Daniel continues to push his limits. His personal bests of 10.88s in the 100m and 22.48s in the 200m, and his recent Nationals finals appearances in Brisbane and Perth is further proof that he thrives on the big stage.
Beyond his own achievements, Daniel is a natural leader both on and off the track. He is a Junior Coach with Ginninderra Athletics Club, a FAST Kids Coach, and has shared his knowledge at events such as the Accelerate Clinic, Hurricanes Softball Clinic, and the African Australian Come and Try Day Clinic. His dedication to mentoring young athletes reflects his passion for the sport and his drive to inspire the next generation.
Daniel’s leadership extends beyond athletics—he is a former ACT team captain and currently serves as House Captain at Canberra High School. This season, he has also broken club records and ACT School Sport records, solidifying his status as one of ACT’s top young sprinters.
At FAST Running, we celebrate athletes like Daniel—not just for their results, but for their commitment, leadership, and the way they lift those around them. His journey is a testament to what’s possible with hard work, the right training environment, and a mindset focused on growth.
With his combination of speed, dedication, and leadership, Daniel Nwaobi is a name to watch in Australian sprinting. The best is yet to come.
