The final meet of the Summer Series delivered a night of electrifying performances, personal bests, and a glimpse of the future for FAST Running athletes. As the season came to a close, our squad members left it all on the track, showcasing their hard work and dedication.
Sprint Power on Display
FAST’s sprinters took to the track with determination, with Oliver F leading the charge in the 100m and 200m events. He stormed home in the 100m with a time of 12.12 and followed up with an impressive 200m PB of 24.55. Oliver’s consistent improvement highlights his relentless pursuit of speed, and his breakthrough time in the 200m is a testament to his development this season.
Teammate Sam Ainsworth also took on the sprint double, crossing the line in 14.79 seconds in the 100m and 29.95 seconds in the 200m, continuing to gain valuable racing experience against strong competition.
Lewin Ainsworth Dominates the 400m
It was a breakthrough night for Lewin Ainsworth, who delivered an outstanding 400m PB of 57.75, claiming victory in his race. His aggressive front-running style and ability to hold speed down the home straight paid off, setting him up for an exciting season ahead as he continues to refine his endurance and race tactics.
Middle-Distance Excellence from Chloe Prstec
The highlight of the evening came in the 800m, where Chloe Prstec continued to stamp her dominance over the distance, clocking an incredible 2:15.19 to take the win in a new Woden Thunder Record. Her control, pace judgment, and finishing kick proved once again why she is one of the most promising middle-distance runners in the squad. With each race, Chloe is proving that she is a name to watch in the seasons to come.
Looking Ahead
With summer racing wrapping up, attention now shifts to winter training, where these athletes will continue to build on their success. For Oliver, Lewin, and Chloe, their personal bests at the season finale signal exciting possibilities for the next phase of their development.
FAST Running is proud of all our athletes who stepped up to compete this season, and we look forward to even bigger things ahead. Congratulations to everyone who raced, and bring on the next challenge!
