State Championship wrap up Canberra Sprint Coach, March 27, 2015November 2, 2023 The State Championships were a happy hunting ground for the FAST Squad who have done extremely well. Individually everyone has had a big season but when you take a step back and look at their collective efforts you get to appreciate just how much they have all improved built around each other Gold 27Silver 15Bronze 15Top Ten 19 The above came from 21 brilliant athletes… Austin, Bethany, Nick, Tori, David, Ethan, Ekwueme, Santal, Jeremy, Alex , Chichi, Harry, Jess, Georgia, Casey, Tom, Josh, Lucy, Nat, Maja and Matt. If we compare their performances to the second place club competing at the Championships who had 80 odd athletes (4 times as many as the squad)… Gold 39Silver 32Bronze 29 FAST has done really well. Shame David and Alex missed a few events (injury, futsal) and that Laura was unable to compete too. The Squad has also smashed a number of State Records over the weekend: Nathalie (100m, 200m, 100mH, 200mH), Lucy (200m, 400m, Long Jump) and Matt (100mH, 200mH).
