Patrick sets sights beyond the try line Canberra Running Coach, September 19, 2024September 19, 2024 Patrick Dawson (Belconnen United, Canberra Raiders) recently repented the ACT at the Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League National Championships in Coffs Harbour. Patrick who’s had the taste of top tier competition, with the Canberra Raiders in the Harold Matthews Cup, is looking to improve his acceleration and top-end speed as he seeks higher representative honours. In his debut season (2023) with the Raiders, the tall winger scored three tries for the Green Machine and has been working hard in the gym to increase his strength. Since beginning with Canberra Sprint Coach, Steve Dodt, Patrick has tweaked his running action and seen his acceleration increase over the past month. With footy finals now over, Patrick will focus on reaction, agility and translating his strength to power for running fast. News BelconnenFootballMature TeensRunning TrainingSprinting
