Niki set to race at Nationals

FAST Running - Training

FAST Track athlete Niki Houliaras has been selected to represented the ACT at the upcoming School Sport Australia Championship in Sydney. The twelve year old sprinter will compete in Sydney from 28th November – 2nd December 2024 against the other best athletes in Australia in the 100m and the 200m.

Niki has enjoyed his best performances at the recent ACT Championships where he not only made top 5 for all his events but made incredible improvement particularly in the 200m where he took 3 seconds off his time from 2023.

Niki is a member of the FAST Track program that aims to improve an athlete’s performance through targeted training and event specificity. Niki’s Canberra Sprint Coach, Steve Dodt, is preparing him to break the 14s barrier in Sydney and the 29s barrier over 200m. Breaking his personal bests at Nationals will be a wonderful accomplishment and set Niki up for junior National next year.
