Last weekend members of FAST Performance hit the soft sands of Moruya on the NSW South Coast. Enjoying the last days of School Holidays before the beginning of Term 4, the three day camp focussed on active recovery, speed and power, as well as strength endurance and recovery.
FAST Running has a strong community focus and the squad enjoyed interacting with the locals in Moruya Heads including with members of the Moruya Surf Life Saving Club at the Sunday session as a special invitation.
With the next ten weeks leading up to Australian All Schools in Brisbane, the weekend away from the track was a welcome distraction and gave the squad the opportunity to bond and unwind as well as work on areas of their technical development that would otherwise be difficult to do in Canberra. Under the watchful eye of Canberra Sprint Coach, Steve Dodt, FAST Performance will be looking to translate what they learned at the Beach Camp back at the AIS over the coming weeks.
