FAST Running is proud to announce the promotion of Mathias Lal to the position of FAST Accelerate Lead Coach — a role that recognises not only his formal coaching qualifications, but the tremendous impact he’s already had on our community.
Mathias began his coaching journey right here at FAST just two years ago, stepping into his first assistant role with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine love for helping young athletes thrive. From the outset, he brought energy, care, and a natural talent for connecting with children and their families. In that time, he has gone from strength to strength — evolving into a calm, confident, and trusted figure on the track.
This new leadership role reflects the vital part Mathias now plays in our operations. As FAST Accelerate Lead Coach, Mathias is responsible for designing and delivering sessions that promote coordination, speed, and agility — all in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. He builds strong relationships with families, mentors junior helpers, and plays a key role in identifying athletes ready to progress into our junior pathway.
