Athlete Success Story | Tearia Teaiwa Mortimer
At FAST Running, success isn’t always about medals. Sometimes it’s about finding your voice, healing through community, and thriving in more than one world.
That’s why we’re so proud of Tearia Teaiwa Mortimer, one of our FAST Performance athletes, who is currently featured in the powerful group exhibition Paradise* at Canberra Contemporary Artspace (July 26 – October 4, 2025).
Curated by Dan Toua, Paradise* brings together Pasifika/Australian artists who explore identity, climate crisis, queerness, diaspora, and the complex layers of living between cultures. Through photography and storytelling, Tearia contributes to a deeply moving conversation about belonging, resilience, and strength in community.
Just like in her training, Tearia brings vulnerability, courage, and power to the canvas. Her work reminds us that every athlete has a story beyond the track — and that sometimes, success looks like choosing to stand tall in your truth and share it with the world.
We’re honoured to support her journey — both in performance and in purpose.
Paradise* is open now at Canberra Contemporary Artspace, Lake Burley Griffin. Exhibition runs until 4 October 2025.
