Lucinda Christian is the kind of athlete who reminds everyone that greatness comes in small, determined packages. Whether she’s bursting out of the blocks, chasing down a try, or pacing herself for a cross-country finish, Lucinda does it all with speed, spirit, and a smile.
Already a standout in the ACT athletics scene, Lucinda has racked up an impressive string of results across multiple disciplines. At the 2025 Capital Athletics Championships, she delivered a full sweep of personal bests and brought home medals in sprints, throws, and jumps:
- 🥈 70m Sprint – 2nd (11.30s)
- 🥈 Discus Throw – 2nd (16.01m)
- 🥉 Long Jump – 3rd (3.39m)
- 4️⃣ 400m Sprint – 1:19.43
- 4️⃣ 800m Run – 3:02.06
- 8️⃣ 100m Sprint – 16.37s
Her consistency and competitive spirit also saw her crowned U10 Girls Age Champion at the Gungahlin Little Athletics Centre presentation day—an award that reflects her all-round excellence on and off the track.
But Lucinda’s talents don’t stop at athletics. Representing the ACT Cougars U10 Girls team, she lit up the recent tournament with her blistering speed, sharp tagging, and four well-earned tries. The team powered their way to the quarter-finals, finishing an impressive 6th out of 24 teams.
As Term 2 approaches, Lucinda is setting her sights on the ACT Cross Country Championships, where she’ll be taking on the 2km distance. Her goal? To keep climbing the ranks after her stellar 8th place finish last year.
Training with FAST Running, Lucinda continues to sharpen her speed, strength, and stamina—all while juggling indoor hockey and her love for team sports. With her hard work, positive attitude, and endless energy, Lucinda is proof that age is just a number when it comes to chasing big dreams.
