Young gun sets sights on ALAC final Canberra Sprint Coach, January 17, 2024February 7, 2024 Ginninderra Athletics Athlete. Nic Porter, has been doing Little Athletics since he was five years old. From his first season. Nic showed tremendous promise. Almost breaking the long standing club record for 70m. This year, the now Under 13 Athlete, hopes to make the final at the Australian Little Athletics Championships this season in Adelaide. Nic who enjoys playing football, has been balancing his commitment to both sports as he juggles the responsibilities required to be successful . Nic isn’t afraid of hard work and recently did his first training at Canberra’s hardest hill session. Sprinting confidently up the monstrous hill, Nic enjoyed passing many cyclists and chasing down his team mate Vish. The ALAC final would be the pinnacle of Nic’s athletic journey so far and though he’s won many medals at the ACT Championships, chasing his first Australian Medal would be something special for the twelve year old. If Nic were to medal or make the final, Nic would join a very select group of FAST athletes who since 1986 have been down the same path as him .
