Canberra’s hardest hill session Canberra Running Coach, October 11, 2023February 7, 2024 Conor Pratt, UC Athletics Academy Graduate and ACT Athletics representative, knows a thing or two about training hard. His favourite training session is at Governor-General’s Hill and FAST is set to train on Canberra’s hardest hill on 24th October. If racing Road Bikes for the glory of “there can only be one” isn’t enough, bragging rights amongst FAST members is high on who will be King or Queen of the Mountain this season. Too much lactic and oxygen deprivation are the only concerns for Conor as he prepares himself to face his hardest test this season so far. But Conor is well aware that respecting the hill is the best way to prepare himself for the hardest of tests at the track. FAST enjoys running training at different venues across Canberra and beyond. Providing variability in training keeps sessions interesting, challenging and provides for greater flexibility to target the needs of the athlete.
