Ava’s A-League Women Debut Canberra Running Coach, December 10, 2023December 11, 2023 In today’s action in the A-League Women, star midfield dynamo, Ava Piazza, has realised her ambition with a strong performance against the Brisbane Roar at McKellar Park. Ava on debut, started the game, had 19 touches, 4 long balls, won 2 ground duels, and played the first 90 minutes of the match. She was excellent in Clearances, Blocked shots, Interceptions, and Tackles. Brisbane Roar lost 1-5 making Ava’s debut a winning one. Throughout the game, showed great pace, agility and stamina to confound her opponents and made some crucial saves when the team in green looked in danger. Ava’s debut is an inspiring story for FAST for Sport members who are hoping to one day emulate her and make it into Australia’s premier football competition for Women. Since beginning with FAST Running, Ava has improved steadily with her results at football training impressing the coach staff and earning her first starting position.
