Great results from Northside Secondary Regionals Canberra Running Coach, September 11, 2024September 17, 2024 Hot on the footsteps from Georgia and Tom’s Southside Secondary Regionals results, FAST Running was very well represented at the recent Northside Secondary School Track and Field Regionals. For Tearia, Tylan, and Isi, it was their first taste of Regionals and now they are set for their first ACT Championship having qualified in their favourite events joining Georgia who qualified from Southside for her first as well. Experienced campaigners Simeon, Lewin, Nick, Daniel, and Mathias, all got top three finishers so they progress to the ACT Championships too. For Lewin and Mathias it will be their first running final at the ACT Secondary Championships. From the Associated Southern Colleges (ASC) and the Public College system, FAST Running is happy to announce that Siena, Grace, and Vish will also be competing at the ACT Championships. This will be Vish’s first ACT Championships as well. Tearia: 100m (5th), 200m (5th), High Jump (3rd), Long Jump (2nd), Triple Jump (2nd), Shot Put (1st) Daniel: 100m (1st), 200m (1st), Mathias: 100m (6th), 200m (3rd), Long Jump (3rd) Simeon: 100m (1st), Long Jump (1st), Nick: 100m (2nd), 200m (3rd) Lewin: 100m (1st), 200m (1st), 400m (1st), 800m (5th), Discus (3rd) Tylan: 100m (7th), 200m (4th) Isabel (Isi): 100m (4th), 200m (5th), 400m (4th) It has been a very successful regional school period and everyone in the squad who competed has advanced to the ACT Championships, where they now get the chance to make the Australian All Schools Championships in December should they run well and qualify. Before the Secondary Championships, the 12 years and under championships will be held at Woden on 17 September with FAST Running well represented by Sam, Nelum, Lucy, Nique and Isabel.
