FAST Running x African Australian Athletics “Come & Try” Day
On Sunday, FAST Running proudly joined forces with Capital Athletics and the African Australian Council ACT to bring the African Australian Athletics “Come & Try” Day to life. The event was a true celebration of community, culture, and the joy of athletics, with participants of all ages and abilities coming together to run, jump, and experience the sport in a fun, welcoming environment.
Held at Charnwood District Playing Fields, the day was filled with high energy, big smiles, and plenty of memorable moments. FAST Running elite athletes Vivian Williams and Daniel Nwaobi, along with High-Performance Coach Steve Dodt, led dynamic running activation sessions, ensuring that every participant felt the excitement and camaraderie that athletics brings. From first-time runners to experienced sprinters, everyone had the chance to challenge themselves, learn new skills, and most importantly—have fun!
