FAST Running is excited to welcome Mckenleigh Forner, affectionately known as Macca, as the newest member of FAST Females and the FAST Track program. Mckenleigh’s journey is a testament to how athletes of all backgrounds can benefit from targeted training to refine their technique, improve performance, and take their speed to the next level.
A promising young athlete from Gungahlin Little Athletics Club, Mckenleigh has already made a name for herself in championship competition. With standout performances at the 2025 Capital Athletics Underage Championships, where she placed fourth in the 100m, 200m, and 80m hurdles, she has proven her potential on the track. Her steady improvement over the past seasons at the North/Gungahlin Track and Field Primary School Championships highlights her dedication and progress.
Now training under Coach Steve Dodt, Mckenleigh has been introduced to the fundamentals of block starts—a crucial skill for any sprinter—and received expert guidance to perfect her hurdling technique. Training alongside National Record Holders and Australian Championship finalists, she is gaining firsthand experience in an elite training environment designed to help athletes unlock their full potential.
FAST Track provides a structured pathway for athletes aged 12 and over, focusing on sprinting, hurdles, and jumps. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just beginning your journey in track and field, FAST Running offers the ideal environment to help you get faster, refine your skills, and achieve your goals.
Mckenleigh’s story is just beginning, and we can’t wait to see her development as she continues to thrive within the FAST Running squad. Welcome to the team, Macca!
