One Year Stronger: FAST Running at the 2025 Chemist Warehouse Australian All Schools Championships

FAST Running - All Schools 2025

Twelve months on from our standout showing at the 2024 All Schools ChampionshipsFAST Running returned to the national stage stronger, faster, and more united than ever.

In a year defined by both challenges and progress, our athletes demonstrated that Running Excellence is built not only on talent, but on resilience, adaptability, and belief in the process.

Progress Through Adversity

The 2025 Chemist Warehouse Australian All Schools Championships saw the return of familiar FAST names — athletes who have grown in maturity and confidence since their last national outing.

For Daniel Nwaobi, 2024’s 11.12s breakthrough was just the beginning. This year, Daniel powered to 22.16s (PB) for 4th in the 200m final, after winning his heat in 22.43s, and ran 11.27s in the 100m. His evolution from promising sprinter to national finalist continues to inspire the next generation of FAST athletes.

Simeon Omosigho, who last year reached the 100m final in 11.44s, faced injury setbacks but returned in 2025 with quiet determination, recording 11.82s in one of the deepest sprint fields of the meet. His resilience embodies the FAST ethos: always forward, never defeated.

Racing the Elements

In conditions that tested every athlete, Tom Madigan delivered a remarkable performance — racing through pouring rain to clock 53.62s in the 400m (10th overall) and 24.42s in the 200m (14th). His commitment under pressure epitomises the FAST mindset of finding excellence, no matter the circumstances.

Teammate Lewin Ainsworth built on his 2024 debut season with another multi-event campaign — 100m (12.26s)200m (24.90s), and a new Hammer Throw PB of 37.86m for 8th in the final, showing how versatility and perseverance can go hand in hand.

Rising FAST

Cecilia Ador had a breakout championship, finishing 7th in the 200m (25.12s) PB, 8th in Triple Jump (10.54m) PB, and 10th in the 100m (12.62s) PB, along with a strong run in the ACT 4x100m relay (48.95s, 5th). Her ability to perform across sprints and jumps demonstrates the next evolution of FAST’s holistic athlete development model.

Brooklyn Montana (12.56m, 7th in Triple Jump) PB and Nick Meszes (11.87s / 23.90s across the sprints) PB also continued their upward trajectories, building on 2024 foundations with improved rhythm, consistency, and composure at national level.

For Aman Nhial, 2025 marked her first All Schools appearance — a learning experience that saw her finish 12th in the Hammer Throw (24.53m) PB and join a long line of FAST athletes making their national debut.

Sam Blood competing nationally for the first time has had a remarkable story beginning in September 2024, Sam ranked 8th in the ACT over 100 m. By April 2025, he had climbed to 3rd at the ASC. Six months later, in September 2025, he stood 2nd in the ACT. By December 2025 (these championships), Sam had risen to 14th in Australia (11.43s).

FAST Futures

Seth Samarakoon, still just in the U14 category, carried himself with maturity well beyond his years, helping the ACT relay to 4th in the 4x100m final (49.26s) and soaking up invaluable championship experience for seasons ahead.

Though Mathias Lill had to withdraw from the Long Jump due to injury, his inclusion underscores FAST’s depth across the horizontal jumps. Recovery and return plans are already underway as he transitions toward 2026. Mathias despite his personal setback, shot behind the entire ACT Team taking over 4000 photos and videos of those special moments, demonstrating what Running Excellence means at its core.

Twelve Months of Growth

From PBs and podiums in 2024 to national finals and resilience in 2025, the FAST Running journey continues to evolve. The results speak to a program that not only develops speed and skill, but nurtures character, community, and long-term athlete wellbeing.

Rain, setbacks, or pressure — the FAST squad continues to rise.
Each season builds on the last, proving that Running Excellence isn’t a destination — it’s a way of life.

FAST Running — Building Champions, One Season at a Time

Congratulations to all athletes, parents, coaches, and partners for another inspiring chapter in the FAST story.
The foundation laid in 2024 has grown into something stronger in 2025 — and the best is yet to come.
