The cross country season has concluded on a high for FAST Running, with three of our athletes earning selection to represent the ACT at the Australian Cross Country Championships.
Congratulations to Vivian Kelly, Leo McKinley and Clare Rice on this fantastic achievement. Selection to an ACT team reflects months of dedicated training, consistent performances and the resilience required to compete at the highest level within the state. We wish all three athletes, along with their ACT teammates, every success as they take on the nation’s best.
The announcement follows another outstanding day for FAST Running athletes at the Capital Athletics Cross Country Championships at Stromlo Forest Park.
On a course made even more challenging by gusty conditions, our athletes demonstrated exactly what we value at FAST—courage, determination and the willingness to keep competing when the race becomes difficult. The encouragement from teammates, families and supporters throughout the course created an atmosphere that truly showcased the spirit of our running community.

These performances are another reminder that success is built through consistent training, patience and a commitment to long-term development. While podium finishes are exciting, every athlete who competed contributed to a culture where effort, perseverance and continual improvement are valued just as highly as results.
