FAST Running is proud to celebrate a major milestone, with a strong group of athletes selected in the ACT Team for the 2026 Australian Athletics Championships (Junior & Open).
This selection reflects more than just results — it represents months and years of consistent work, belief in the process, and the daily commitment to Running Excellence.
Across sprints, jumps, throws, and multi-events, FAST athletes will step onto the national stage representing both ACT and the culture we continue to build.

More Than Selection
What stands out is not just the number of athletes selected — but the breadth of events and pathways:
- Short sprint speed (100m/200m)
- Speed endurance (200m/400m)
- Horizontal jumps
- Throws and combined events
This is exactly what FAST Running is built on — developing complete athletes, not just specialists, and creating opportunities across multiple disciplines.
The Standard Is the Standard
Selection is not the finish line — it’s the entry point.
Over the coming weeks, preparation sharpens:
- Race modelling becomes precise
- Speed is expressed, not chased
- The focus shifts from training to execution
At this level, small details matter — and this group has earned the right to focus on them.
A Message to the Wider Squad
Moments like this matter beyond the athletes named.
They set the standard.
For every younger athlete in FAST Kids, every developing athlete in FAST Track, and every Performance athlete chasing their next breakthrough — this is what the pathway looks like when commitment meets clarity.
Running Excellence on the National Stage
We wish all ACT athletes the very best at Nationals.
For our FAST athletes — you’ve done the work.
Now it’s time to step on the line and compete.
Running Excellence. Delivered.
