FAST Running Athletes Shine at Woden Athletics Carnival

FAST Running - Woden Carnival

FAST Running athletes put on a show at the recent Woden Athletics Carnival, with Sophia, Tom, Freya, and Olivia delivering standout performances and personal bests.

🏆 Sophia dominated the 400m, taking 1st place in 1:25.50—a massive improvement from her previous PB of 1:33.75! She also claimed 2nd in discus (9.69m) and set a PB in the 60m hurdles (12.69s), finishing 4th overall.

🔥 Tom continued his red-hot form, securing the U15M sprint double with victories in the 200m (24.7s) and 400m (55.0s). His consistency this season has been nothing short of impressive.

⚡ Olivia smashed her 100m PB, winning the U15W 100m in 13.03s—her fastest time since the ACT Schools Championships in September. With the Capital Athletics U9-U18 Championships approaching, Olivia is peaking at the perfect time. She also had the opportunity to race as a backmarker in the inaugural Women’s Gift, gaining valuable experience in a competitive field.

👏 Freya competed with only a few weeks back into athletics managed some great PBs. 100m silver medal in 14:31. Bronze medal in shot put. PB in 200m 29:50 first time under 30. Freya enjoyed competing against some fast interstate U12 girls.

Congratulations to all four athletes on their incredible achievements! 🚀👏
