Seth Samarakoon – A Rising Sprint Star

FAST Running - Seth - Profile

At FAST Running, we celebrate the dedication, resilience, and success of our athletes. Few embody this spirit better than Seth Samarakoon, a young sprinter whose journey is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and the power of the FAST Running pathway.

A Season of Breakthroughs

Seth’s rise in the sprinting world has been nothing short of remarkable. Joining the FAST Running squad in 2024, he quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with, demonstrating the speed, determination, and drive that define future champions.

Despite facing setbacks, including a hairline foot fracture after a strong performance at the Capital Athletics Underage Championships, Seth has shown incredible resilience. Instead of letting injuries derail his progress, he has focused on recovery and preparation, setting his sights on the 2025 Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) in Adelaide.

International Experience & Big Goals

Seth’s competitive journey extends beyond national borders. In 2023, he reached the 100m final at the Sri Lanka National Championships, proving that he thrives on the big stage. Now, with ALAC on the horizon, he is ready to take his sprinting to the next level and showcase his talent at the highest level of junior competition in Australia.

A FAST Future Ahead

Seth’s work ethic and natural sprinting ability make him an exciting athlete to watch. As part of the FAST Running family, he benefits from elite coaching, cutting-edge training methodologies, and access to sports science-backed recovery strategies. With his explosive speed and fearless approach to competition, there’s no doubt that he is on track for even bigger achievements in the years ahead.
