Tom and Georgia in good School Carnival form Canberra Running Coach, August 29, 2024August 29, 2024 FAST Running was represented by Tom and Georgia at today’s Secondary South Regional Championships. Tom did himself proud with wins in the 200m and 400m and a bronze in the Long Jump. In his 200m Tom broke his previous PR by 5s and won his 400 by 6s. Georgia competing in her first Regionals claimed the silver in the 200m and 400m and a respectable 4th in the 100m. Georgia was one of only two girls who competed in all three sprint events. Georgia has now qualified for her first ever ACT Championships. These early season results show all the dedication and off season hard work is paying off for the members of FAST Running. Canberra Sprint Coach, Steve Dodt, is very impressed with the results from today, hot on the heels of Nique’s stand out performances last week, and Lewin’s automatic qualifier in the Hammer Throw at High Noon a fortnight ago. With more regional carnivals to come and then the ACT Schools Track and Field Championships to follow, September is going to be a big month for the team in Black and Red.
