A Little Music, a Lot of FAST

FAST Running - FAST Music Video

Our latest FAST video has something a little different behind it. The music comes from one of our own.

We spend a fair bit of time at FAST talking about running. Acceleration, speed, technique, training, competitions and the occasional personal best tend to dominate the conversation.

But there’s quite a bit more to the people who make up our community than what happens on the track.

And sometimes we get a lovely reminder of that.

Our latest FAST music video features Kiss Me, a song written by FAST member Manuel and sung by Ginger Winn.

That’s not something we get to say every day!

We’ve always enjoyed putting together videos that capture the atmosphere of FAST. The running matters, of course, but so do the friendships, the laughter, the personalities and all those little moments that make training something people look forward to.

Having music written by somebody within our own community makes this one particularly special.

It’s also a nice opportunity to celebrate Manuel for something that has nothing to do with how fast he can run.

We know our athletes as sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, distance runners and participants in all sorts of sports. But away from training, they’re also musicians, artists, students, professionals, parents and people with interests and talents we don’t always get to see.

That’s part of what makes a community interesting.

And it’s something we want FAST to be.

A place where people come together because they enjoy running, support one another and feel part of something, regardless of their age, ability or ambitions.

So this time, rather than choosing a song simply because it sounded good, we had the opportunity to use something with a genuine FAST connection.

A big thank you to Manuel for allowing us to feature Kiss Me, and recognition to Ginger Winn for bringing the song to life.

We hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

Running Excellence might be what brings us together, but there’s always more to the people behind it.

Running Excellence grows.
