Thursday’s 64th ACS Athletics Competition at the AIS saw FAST Running athletes deliver a string of standout performances, with multiple podium finishes and a sweep of qualification spots for the upcoming ACT Secondary School Championships.
Meet Our Stars of the Day:
- Cecilia Adorr showed her incredible range with 1st in the 100m, 2nd in Triple Jump, 3rd in the 200m, and 2nd in Long Jump. She now qualifies for her first ACT Championships in the jumps, and will make her first championship appearance since 2023.
- Sam Blood took gold in the 100m, confirming his sprint dominance in a tight field.
- Siena Towndrow was untouchable across both sprints, finishing 1st in the 100m and 200m, and demonstrating her continued rise as a top-tier junior athlete.
- Will Heritage earned silver in the 200m and 400m, securing his spot at the ACT Championships for the very first time. A huge milestone in his journey with FAST.
- Chloe Prstec had a phenomenal day on the track, winning gold in both the 800m and 1500m, and taking silver in the 400m. Notably, her 800m was the fastest time by any girl in any age group on the day—a remarkable achievement that sets her up as one to watch at Woden Park this September.
- Oliver F who has had a break since Nationals running 2nd in the 100m.
What’s Next?
All our FAST athletes have now qualified for the ACT Secondary School Championships, to be held on September 23, 2025, at Woden Park. It’s a huge testament to their hard work, consistency, and competitive spirit.
