Just six months ago, Cecilia Ador was a talented basketball player testing her speed and power in a new environment. Today, she’s one of the top ten junior athletes in Australia across three events — the 100 m, 200 m, and Triple Jump— and preparing to make her All Schools Nationals debut.
It’s a story that defines FAST Running’s philosophy: belief, hard work, and the courage to chase something new.
A Season of Transformation
Cecilia’s introduction to track and field came not through years of training, but through curiosity — wanting to see how her natural speed might translate to sprinting. Under the guidance of FAST Running’s coaching team, that spark quickly became a fire.
From not competing last year in Trck & Field (even at School level) to breaking into the national top ten in three events, Cecilia’s rise has been nothing short of phenomenal. Her performances have drawn attention across the ACT and beyond, highlighted by her breakthrough runs of 12.67 s (100 m) and 25.83 s (200 m) — times that place her firmly among Australia’s best in her age group.
And just as remarkable has been her progress in the Triple Jump, where she’s developed into one of the country’s most exciting emerging talents.
Progression
23 September — 9.81 m
1 November — 10.67 m
That near one-metre improvement in just six weeks reflects not only Cecilia’s growing technical mastery but also her mindset — focused, fearless, and fun. Each session, each rep, has built toward something special.
Ready for the National Stage
As she prepares for her first All Schools Nationals in Melbourne, Cecilia embodies what FAST Running stands for: turning potential into performance, and performance into purpose.
Her story is one of transformation through belief — proof that with the right environment, support, and determination, anything is possible.
From basketball courts to sprint lanes, Cecilia has shown that Running Excellence isn’t just about speed — it’s about growth, grit, and grace in motion.
