Outdoor gym training a hit Canberra Running Coach, August 3, 2024August 27, 2024 The FAST Running squad has returned to another of its favourite training venues, John Knight Memorial Park, in Belconnen. Using the outdoor gym equipment, the squad performed a Strength and Mobility training session, followed by explosive exercises with the medicine ball and the sled. Saturday was also the first day of the Paris Olympic Games Track and Field competition, so the sprint group had a mini olympics at the end to add a bit more fun and excitement to the morning’s training. The program tested everyone individually with Isi, Kos and Mathias all having their own individual strengths and weaknesses. There was plenty of support within the group and the camaraderie made for an entertaining session. Canberra Sprint and Running Coach, Steve Dodt, oversaw the training and Carol awarded the ribbons at the end to our mini olympics finalists.
