On a crisp Canberra winter’s day with cool air and occasional gusts, the squad turned in strong performances across the sprints, middle distance, jumps, and throws.
100m
- Nel Ganesalingam (W15) sprinted to a new season’s best of 15.55, comfortably ahead of her seed time.
200m
- Chloe Prstec (W11) impressed with a sharp bend and smooth finish, crossing in 27.56, dipping under her seed mark.
- Nel Ganesalingam backed up her 100m with a strong run in 33.57, showing improved speed endurance.
400m
- Tindra Helgstedt (W13) powered through the one-lap challenge to record 1:14.35, a two-second improvement on her seed time and a clear sign of building strength.
800m
- Taking on the middle-distance test, Nel Ganesalingam showed grit and pace, slashing 20 seconds off her seed time to finish in 3:01.59 — her strongest two-lap effort to date.
Long Jump
- Estrid Helgstedt (W15) set a new best of 3.41m, finding extra lift despite a strong tailwind (+3.6).
- Tindra Helgstedt jumped 3.23m (+0.6), balancing her busy program of sprints, 400m, and throws on the day.
Discus
- Tindra Helgstedt continued her growth in the throws circle with a solid 21.32m, close to her seed mark.
- Estrid Helgstedt added depth to her event profile with a best of 10.46m in her series.
