At FAST Running, music isn’t just something we play — it’s something we use.
Whether we’re sprinting up hills, sharpening technique at the AIS, or pushing through tempo reps on a grass oval, the right soundtrack has the power to lift focus, shift energy, and bring the squad together. Music helps set the tone, maintain rhythm, and create an environment where athletes feel motivated, included, and connected.
We deliberately use music at training sessions to support our broader mission: running excellence. That means staying sharp with intent — and that same philosophy applies to our playlists. You’ll hear tracks that energise, inspire, and spark a smile — chosen to match the tempo of the session and the mood of the group.
But we’re also selective. We don’t chase hype for the sake of it, and we don’t play music that excludes, distracts, or devalues the environment we’ve built. That means:
- No explicit lyrics — our squad includes athletes of all ages.
- No heavy or aggressive messaging — sprinting is intense enough.
- No ego-driven anthems that drown out the team-first vibe.
Instead, we explore everything from lesser-known European bangers to local beats, rhythmic remixes, and even athlete-requested tracks. Each playlist becomes a shared pulse that brings the squad into sync — a quiet motivator behind big efforts and light-hearted moments alike.
We see music as a tool — not just for performance, but for culture.
And when a squad is running fast, focused, and firing to a beat they love?
That’s FAST.
