Slicing seven seconds off over a season Canberra Sprint Coach, April 21, 2024April 21, 2024 Tom Madigan has had a stellar 2023-24 season. The Woden Thunder Athlete and member of FAST Track has just recently returned from the Australian Championships in Adelaide. Earlier this year, Tom enjoyed stand out performances at the ACT Championships where he won his first State Championship Gold medal in the 400m (58.39s) and silver in the 200mH (32.54s). This followed his School Sport ACT 400m (1:02.67) Gold medal in December 2023. Over the course of the season, Tom has taken his 400m personal best from 1:04.17 to a staggering 57.35s in Adelaide. A truly magnificent accomplishment for the young sprinter and hurdler. Tom who also enjoys playing football over winter, has found his feet in FAST Running and along with his 400m team mates in Mathias, Vishaal, Mika, Grace and Lewin, he is set for more outstanding performances in the seasons ahead.
