Georgia’s first blocks session Canberra Sprint Coach, September 3, 2024September 3, 2024 The transition to sprinting can be daunting when faced with starting blocks. Georgia who has made steady progress over the past 9 months since beginning running training to help with her netball and football. Georgia recently qualified for her first ever ACT Regionals Championships and came second in the 200m and 400m, making it through to the ACT Championships later this month. With the belief that could take her sprinting further this season, Georgia signed up for athletics over the coming summer and alongside Canberra Sprint Coach, Steve Dodt, has begun her training in the use of starting blocks. The next few weeks Georgia will be able to get more practice in for the upcoming championships alongside her FAST Females team mates in preparation for the first big competition of her athletic career.
