Success on the Court and the Track Canberra Running Coach, January 21, 2025January 21, 2025 Celebrating Tearia Teaiwa Mortimer The FAST Running Squad is proud to celebrate the achievements of one of our rising stars, Tearia Teaiwa Mortimer, whose dedication and talent are shining brightly both on and off the track. Recently, Tearia showcased her athleticism by competing for the underage ACT Team in the Basketball ACT competition against the Open Women’s division. Though the result didn’t go her way this time, her performance exemplified determination and the competitive spirit we value at FAST Running. Breaking Barriers on the Track Tearia’s commitment to excellence doesn’t stop on the basketball court. Her hard work and focus on speed have paid off as she recently became the latest member of our FAST Females and FAST for Sport programs to break the 13-second barrier in the 100m. This remarkable achievement places Tearia among the elite ranks of young athletes demonstrating the power of combining multi-sport training with a focus on speed and agility. Speed That Translates Across Sports The FAST Running Squad’s programs are designed to elevate athletic performance across all disciplines, and Tearia’s success is a testament to that mission. Her improved speed and explosive power are sure to make waves not only on the track but also on the basketball court, where her blistering pace adds a dynamic edge to her game. Inspiring the Squad Tearia’s achievements inspire her teammates and serve as a reminder of what can be accomplished through dedication and hard work. At FAST Running, we take pride in supporting athletes like Tearia who embrace challenges, push their limits, and embody our commitment to Running Excellence. We look forward to watching Tearia’s continued growth and success as she balances her dual passions for basketball and track. Stay tuned for more updates as she continues to make her mark, proving that with the right mindset and training, anything is possible!
