Yesterday, the oval at Aranda came alive with the sound of sprint drills, laughter, and encouragement as we hosted our latest Accelerate Clinic — a session that proved once again that FAST Running is more than training… it’s a community.
Despite the winter chill, the atmosphere was anything but cold. Athletes from a wide range of sports — athletics, soccer, AFL, netball, and more — came together to sharpen their speed, movement, and coordination. But what truly stood out wasn’t just the quality of the drills, the sleds, parachutes, or bounding work. It was the energy, the smiles, and the incredible coach-athlete connection that warmed everyone up from the inside out.
From first-timers to returners, the athletes threw themselves into every rotation with enthusiasm. Guided by our dedicated FAST coaches, each station offered more than just a physical challenge — it offered confidence, expert feedback, and real-time improvement. We saw kids light up with “aha” moments, race new friends to the finish line, and leave just a little taller than when they arrived.
What makes Accelerate special isn’t just the drills — it’s the belief that every athlete deserves access to elite coaching, no matter their sport or stage. And yesterday, we saw that belief in action. Coaches adjusted, encouraged, demonstrated, and connected. Parents watched proudly from the sidelines as their kids soaked up knowledge and left buzzing.
At FAST, we know that progress doesn’t always come in medals. Sometimes it looks like a confident stride, a question asked, or a high-five shared. And on a chilly Canberra afternoon, we witnessed all of that and more.
Thanks to everyone who joined us — we can’t wait to do it again.
