Alumna: Sue Bourke Canberra Running Coach, November 14, 2019February 7, 2024 Sue Bourke trained with FAST until the 2019-20 season. As a Masters Athlete, Sue really came into her own. Among Sue’s many accomplishments are her two Australian Records (W55) in the 4x100m and 4x400m at the Perth World Athletics Championships (2016), where the Australians won Gold in both events and Sue earned a bronze medal in the individual 400m final. Highlighting Sue’s longevity in the sport, she competed in the Optus Grand Prix in 1997 winning her 100m. Competing on the National Stage, Sue made 26 individual Australian Championship Finals, winning 4 Gold, 11 Silver and 5 Bronze medals. Away from the Track, Sue designed the FAST logo that depicts an athlete running and hurdling at the famous AIS. Sue mentored a generation of up and coming female 400m athletes in FAST, inspiring them to be better and follow in her footsteps, competing on the National and International stage. 2017 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W55 60m (4th) 9.28s, 100m (4th) 14.87s, 200m (4th) 31.18s, 400m (3rd) 1:12.08, 4x100m (2nd) 2016 World Masters Athletics Championships: W55 200m (9th) 30.07s, 400m (3rd) 1:07.80, 4x100m Relay (1st) – new National Record, 4x400m Relay (1st) – new National Record 2016 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W55 100m (3rd) 14.75s, 200m (3rd) 30.00s, 2015 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W55 4x100m (2nd), 60m (1st) 9.08s, 100m (1st) 14.83s, 400m (1st) 1:08.17 2014 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W50 60m (4th) 8.84s, 100m (5th) 14.36s, 400m (7th) 1:12.13 2013 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W50 60m (3rd) 9.19s, 100m (4th) 14.52s, 200m (5th) 29.88s, 400m (4th) 1:07.37 2011 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W50 60m (2nd) 8.78s, 100m (2nd) 13.42s, 200m (2nd) 28.61s, 400m (2nd) 1:04.42 2010 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W50 60m (2nd) 8.52s, 100m (2nd) 13.99s, 200m (2nd) 28.45s, 400m (2nd) 1:05.19 2006 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W45 200m (5th) 29.30s, 400m (2nd) 1:06.63, 4x100m (3rd), 4x400m (1st) 1997 Australian Masters Athletics Championships: W35 100m (3rd) 13.58s Alumni Finalist International Masters Medalist Performance FAST Females
