Back on Track: Preparing for Capital Athletics Championships at AIS

FAST Running - Training - AIS

With just two weeks to go until the Capital Athletics Underage Championships, FAST Running athletes are thrilled to be back training on Australia’s fastest track—the AIS. After a period of unavailability, returning to this world-class surface comes at the perfect time as our squad fine-tunes their starts, speed, and technical form ahead of competition.

🌡️ Warm Weather, Hot Starts
In warm conditions, today’s session focused on explosive starts and technical efficiency, ensuring our athletes are race-ready when it counts. Sprinting is more than just raw speed—it’s about precision, power, and perfecting the details. Every block start, acceleration phase, and stride pattern is dialed in to maximize performance under pressure.

⏳ Timing is Everything
In sprinting, timing is crucial—both in race execution and preparation. As our athletes sharpen their skills leading into one of the biggest events of the season, the return to the AIS couldn’t have been better timed. The Capital Athletics Underage Championships will be the ultimate test, and our squad is ready to rise to the challenge.

FAST Running is built on a foundation of Running Excellence, and with two weeks to go, every session matters. Stay tuned as we count down to race day!
