Winter Work, Summer Shine: The Foundations of FAST Running

FAST Running - Winter Training session

At FAST Running, we know that the brightest performances of summer are built in the quiet, determined work of winter. When the competition season fades and the days grow shorter, our squad leans in—not away. This past weekend marked a powerful transition as athletes across all levels embraced the beginning of our winter training block, each one setting their sights firmly on what it will take to achieve their summer goals.

From short sprints to long reps, technical drills to strength circuits, every session is now laying the foundation for speed, resilience, and precision. Winter is where we refine the fundamentals, build strength and stamina, and sharpen the mental focus that fuels podium moments later in the season.

What stands out most isn’t just the volume of work—but the clarity of purpose. Each athlete is committed to their training plan, knowing that consistent effort and attention to detail now will pay off in big ways when it matters most. Whether chasing personal bests, championship finals, or international selections, the squad is united by a common truth: summer success is earned in the chill of winter.

Running excellence isn’t seasonal—it’s intentional. And this winter, FAST Running is all in.
