Nationals always gives you results.
But if you only look at times, placings, and PBs, you miss the point.
This campaign was built on resilience, adaptation, and athletes learning how to compete under pressure. The outcomes reflect that—but they don’t define it.
Daniel Nwaobi (ACT – U18)
Daniel’s season was one of constant adjustment. Managing hip and mobility challenges right through the campaign meant preparation was never straightforward.
He still delivered:
- 100m: 11.12 (10th fastest Australian U18)
- 200m: 22.21 (8th fastest Australian U18)
Not perfect. Not easy. But competitive at the highest level—and that matters.
Lewin Ainsworth (ACT – U16)
Lewin’s Nationals was about stepping up across multiple events—and delivering when it mattered.
- 200m: 23.87 PB
- 400m: 54.16 PB
- Hammer Throw: 34.47 PB
Three events. Three personal bests.
That tells you everything about his approach. He competed, adapted, and executed across the board. For a developing athlete, this is exactly what progress looks like—building capacity, backing it up, and leaving with more than you arrived with.
Bree Madigan Wong (NSW – U14)
Bree showed composure beyond her years in the hurdles.
- 80m Hurdles: 12.50 PB (Final)
- 80m Hurdles Heats: 12.97 Q
- 100m: 13.20
A final, a PB, and a clear sign that her rhythm and intent are building in the right direction.
Sam Blood (ACT – U18)
Sam’s season was about growth into national-level consistency.
- 100m: 11.43
- 200m: 23.07
Not his best execution—but a year that has moved him into a different conversation. The next step is now clear.
Brooklyn Montana (ACT – U18)
Brooklyn’s result doesn’t tell the full story.
- Triple Jump: 11.79
Behind that mark was a season managing ongoing knee issues and pushing through adversity just to compete. This was about showing up—and learning what it takes.
Sam Ainsworth (ACT – U14)
Sam delivered across multiple events and contributed to team success.
- 100m: 14.05
- 200m: 28.38w
- 4x200m Mixed Relay: 1:56.17 PB
Versatility, team contribution, and continued development across the board.
Baylee Fisher (VIC – U15)
Baylee joins FAST Running shortly, and her Nationals performance shows exactly why she’ll be a strong addition.
- 200m: 26.24 PB
- 400m: 1:01.23 PB
Two personal bests at Nationals. That’s a mindset we value.
Thomas Madigan (ACT – U17)
Tom left the squad just weeks before Nationals, but performances like this don’t happen in isolation.
They’re built over time—and we stand by them.
- 200m: 22.91 PB
- 400m: 51.05 PB
Two personal bests on the national stage. That’s execution when it counts.
What This Means for FAST Running
Across the squad:
- Multiple personal bests
- National-level finalists and top-10 rankings
- Athletes competing through adversity
- Athletes arriving—and athletes evolving
But more importantly:
This group is learning how to prepare, compete, and respond.
That’s the standard.
Because at FAST Running, it’s never just about Nationals.
It’s about what those performances build next.
