Fourteen FAST Running athletes have earned selection for the 2025 Australian All Schools Championships in Melbourne this December. But this isn’t just a list of qualifiers — it’s a story of persistence, growth, and belief. Many began the season quietly, outside the spotlight, and now stand ready to represent the ACT on the national stage.

Nick Meszes – 16 Boys 100 m & 200 m
Once unknown at the ACT 13 & Over Championships, Nick burst onto the scene this year — winning the 100 m and placing second in the 200 m for automatic All Schools qualification. A talented Rugby Union player, he’s now focusing on sprinting and chasing another big step forward in Melbourne.
Mathias Lill – 18 Boys Long Jump
After missing the podium in last year’s 200 m, Mathias overcame injury setbacks and channelled his energy into the long jump — earning his first national qualification in the event. Proof that resilience builds results.
Sam Blood – 17 Boys 100 m
From 8th place last year to 2nd this season, Sam’s transformation is driven by relentless discipline and his FAST Performance program. His improvement reflects what commitment looks like in action.
Cecilia Adorr – 17 Girls 100 m & 200 m (+ Triple Jump)
From finishing 10th and 9th in 2023 to running 12.67 s and 26.48 s in 2025, Cecilia’s rise is remarkable. A tall basketballer turned sprinter, she’s now among the state’s best — and part of FAST Females’ sub-13 s club.
Seth Samarakoon – 14 Boys Long Jump
His first ACT Championships — and first place. Seth’s 4.63 m leap earned him All Schools selection, a sign of the huge potential ahead.
Aman Nhial – 16 Girls Hammer Throw
From netball injury lay-off to national selection — Aman’s rapid rise in the hammer circle is inspiring. Finishing 2nd in the ACT Championships, she now joins Lewin as FAST’s second hammer thrower headed to Melbourne.
Olivia Jose – 15 Girls 100 m & 200 m
After debuting last year, Olivia stormed through 2025 — winning the 100 m (12.85 s) and placing 2nd in 200 m (27.34 s). A dual FAST Female and Emerging Matilda, she’s proof that speed and skill can coexist.
Tearia Teaiwa Mortimer – 17 Girls 100 m Hurdles & Shot Put
A multi-talented athlete who balances basketball and athletics, Tearia won the shot put this year and added the 100 m hurdles to her All Schools resume. Recognised in the ASC’s Green & Gold program, her star continues to rise.
Brooklyn Montana – 17 Boys Triple Jump
From 10.90 m in 2024 to beyond 12 m this season — Brooklyn’s improvement earned him All Schools selection. The Belconnen footballer shows what happens when athleticism meets focus.
Simeon – 16 Boys 100 m
After an injury-ridden winter, Simeon has refocused with intent. A 2024 finalist, he’s determined to break 11 s and link up with Daniel and Sam to form one of the ACT’s fastest relay combinations.
Lewin Ainsworth – 15 Boys 100 m, 200 m & Hammer Throw
Despite a quad injury, Lewin qualified in all three sprints and the hammer throw — the only ACT male to podium across all sprint distances. His 2025 times (12.21 s / 24.57 s) highlight huge strides from last year’s performances.
Tom Madigan – 16 Boys 200 m & 400 m
Balancing football and athletics, Tom continues to raise the bar — qualifying again in both 200 m and 400 m with times well below 2024 marks. Expect fireworks in Melbourne.
Siena Towndrow – 18 Girls 100 m
FAST Females’ sprint leader and 2024 All Schools medallist, Siena returns with sights set on breaking 12 s and inspiring the next wave of girls chasing speed and confidence.
Daniel Nwaobi – 17 Boys 100 m & 200 m
Battling early-season niggles, Daniel delivered when it counted — defending his state titles in 10.89 s and 22.59 s. His technical progress and consistency put him in elite company as he lines up beside teammate Sam Blood.
