Celebrating Community and Excellence Canberra Running Coach, November 25, 2024November 25, 2024 FAST Running’s End-of-Year Celebration Last weekend, FAST Running brought athletes, families, and supporters together at Black Mountain Peninsula for our much-anticipated end-of-year celebration. The event highlighted not just the achievements of the year but also the core values that make FAST Running unique—bridging all ages, abilities, and sports to build a thriving, supportive community. The turnout was fantastic, with participants ranging from young FAST Kids to seasoned athletes, as well as parents, coaches, and friends. The celebration reflected our belief that running excellence goes beyond medals and records; it’s about fostering connections, embracing diversity, and promoting a shared love for athletics. Canberra Sprint Coach Steve Dodt shared his thoughts on the event, saying, “It’s moments like these that show the strength of the FAST Running family. We’re not just about training; we’re about supporting one another and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive.” Our strategic objectives This celebration encapsulated several of FAST Running’s strategic objectives: Building Community Across Boundaries: FAST Running unites athletes of all abilities—from sprinters to jumpers, children to adults, and para-athletes to multi-sport competitors. Events like this strengthen bonds and highlight the inclusivity central to our mission. Innovation in Training: We continuously explore ways to connect training excellence with community engagement, fostering environments where athletes of all levels feel inspired to grow and succeed. Promoting Healthy Lifestyles: Through programs like FAST Kids and partnerships with local organizations, we aim to instill habits that encourage active living, not just for athletes but for families and communities as a whole. Looking Ahead As we close out this remarkable year, we’re excited about the future. With new partnerships, expanded programs, and continued focus on athlete development, FAST Running remains committed to running excellence and community-building. Thank you to everyone who joined us at Black Mountain Peninsula and to all who supported FAST Running throughout the year. Let’s carry this momentum into an even stronger 2025!
