2024 ACT Junior and Masters Championships Canberra Running Coach, February 20, 2024 The 2024 ACT Junior and Masters Championships was held at Woden Park over the weekend. FAST Track members Daniel, Joshua, Nick, Grace, Vish, and Siena represented the squad in the 100m, 200m, and 400m events. The squad had a very impressive showing with a combined 4 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze medal from the 6 athletes competing plus a further 7 Personal Bests and 4 Auto Qualifiers for the National Championships in April. In addition to Daniel, Nate and Siena’s earlier qualification for Nationals, FAST Running now welcomes Josh and Nick who now also meet the ACT Selection Policy requirements for the Australian Championships in Adelaide in April 2024. Nick had a great meet with two personal bests to add to his two Gold medals. Daniel also won 2 Golds with a PB in the 100m. Siena took a Silver in the 100m on her way to a new PB. Josh also collected Silvers in the 100m and 200m, with a PB in both events. Grace won a Bronze medal in the 400m in her return to competition following an injury earlier last year. Vish claimed a new PB in the 400m final after making the switch from 800m at the beginning of the season. Vish has now broken his personal best four times since December 2023.
