FAST Running Athletes Shine at Woden Athletics Carnival Canberra Running Coach, February 3, 2025February 3, 2025 FAST Running athletes put on a show at the recent Woden Athletics Carnival, with Sophia, Tom, Freya, and Olivia delivering standout performances and personal bests. ๐ Sophia dominated the 400m, taking 1st place in 1:25.50โa massive improvement from her previous PB of 1:33.75! She also claimed 2nd in discus (9.69m) and set a PB in the 60m hurdles (12.69s), finishing 4th overall. ๐ฅ Tom continued his red-hot form, securing the U15M sprint double with victories in the 200m (24.7s) and 400m (55.0s). His consistency this season has been nothing short of impressive. โก Olivia smashed her 100m PB, winning the U15W 100m in 13.03sโher fastest time since the ACT Schools Championships in September. With the Capital Athletics U9-U18 Championships approaching, Olivia is peaking at the perfect time. She also had the opportunity to race as a backmarker in the inaugural Womenโs Gift, gaining valuable experience in a competitive field. ๐ Freya competed with only a few weeks back into athletics managed some great PBs. 100m silver medal in 14:31. Bronze medal in shot put. PB in 200m 29:50 first time under 30. Freya enjoyed competing against some fast interstate U12 girls.
