Nique sets sights on ACT Primary School Championships Canberra Running Coach, August 27, 2024August 27, 2024 Competing in the recent Primary Region Track and Field Carnival, Nique ran solidly in both the 200m and the 800m, winning both events, as well as placing 2nd in the 100m. Over the winter Nique has made amazing progress, especially compared to her performances twelve months ago at Regionals where she finished 8th, 1st and did not compete in the same events. Nique’s improved speed over all three distances will see her compete strongly at the 2024 ACT 12&U Track and Field Championships, where she hopes to not only break more personals bests, but earn a spot in the ACT Team for the upcoming Australian Championships held in Sydney from 28th November – 2nd December 2024. Nique ran 2s and 14s faster over the 200m and 800m respectively compared to last year’s performance. Working with Canberra Running Coach, Steve Dodt, Nique has found the confidence to compete at the higher level and the right mix of training to assist her performances at the State Championships and beyond.
