Alumnus: John Scollen Canberra Running Coach, March 23, 2016February 8, 2024 John Scollen began training with FAST in 2011. John would regularly run alongside his good mate David Grimmond at training. The “two old boys” keeping each other honest and enjoying brutal training sessions together. John’s background is Rugby Union and represented Australian Universities in 1996 (via ANU). John is a proud member of Canberra Royals RUFC. John introduced his daughter Laura to FAST Track in 2013. The first father/daughter training partnership in FAST. Laura was no slouch and kept John honest like his old mate David Grimmond (Grimmo). John never competed in Athletics at all and trained primarily to spend time with Laura, and secondly to keep fit for Touch Football and Rugby Sevens.
