Rising Rugby Stars Reesa and Rita Prep for the Tarsha Gale Cup Canberra Running Coach, November 26, 2024November 26, 2024 The Tarsha Gale Cup is a premier women’s rugby league competition, spotlighting under-19 talent and serving as a vital pathway to the NRL Women’s Premiership (NRLW). As one of the key stepping stones in women’s rugby league, this competition provides young athletes with an invaluable opportunity to showcase their skills on a national stage. Recently, the Canberra Raiders hosted their open trials for the 2025 Tarsha Gale Cup in Goulburn, welcoming some of the brightest young athletes from across the country. Among them were 18-year-old twins Reesa and Rita, traveling from Melbourne with aspirations of securing spots in the Raiders’ squad for the upcoming season. To maximize their preparation, Reesa and Rita are training with Canberra-based sprint and running coach, Steve Dodt, through the FAST for Sport program. This specialised initiative focuses on enhancing speed, agility, and endurance—essential skills for success on the rugby field. With Steve’s expertise and the FAST Running team’s support, the twins are well-equipped for this crucial pre-competition phase. FAST Running is thrilled to be part of Reesa and Rita’s journey as they strive to make their mark in the world of women’s rugby league. We wish them every success as they chase their dreams in the Tarsha Gale Cup and beyond! FAST for Sport News CanberraFAST FemalesFootballMature TeensProfileRunning TrainingYoung Adults
