Self-Maintenance Session with Clinic 88 Canberra Running Coach, December 13, 2024December 13, 2024 Empowering Athletes At FAST Running, we pride ourselves on delivering more than just training—we provide the tools, knowledge, and support athletes need to achieve running excellence. A recent self-maintenance session with Brad from Clinic 88 exemplified this commitment to putting our athletes first. Brad Hiskins, the veteran of 5 Olympic Games as a Therapist, has designed these sessions to match our specific needs. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the AIS, this outdoor session was an incredible opportunity for our squad to come together, not just to recover but to learn. Brad shared practical, hands-on techniques designed to help athletes maintain their bodies, prevent injuries, and manage the physical demands of training. As coaches, we understand that elite performance isn’t just about speed on the track; it’s about sustaining that speed while balancing school, work, and life. This session reinforced a core principle at FAST Running: recovery and self-care are as essential as training. By empowering our athletes to take ownership of their recovery routines, we’re equipping them with the tools they need to reach new heights. These moments reflect our strategic objective of innovation in training and our mission to support every athlete’s journey, whether they’re chasing PBs, representing at national competitions, or simply striving to be their best. Our Promise With initiatives like these, we reaffirm our commitment to putting athletes first. Every stretch, every technique, and every conversation in this session reflected our unwavering belief that running excellence starts with a foundation of knowledge and care. We’re grateful to Clinic 88 for partnering with us on this journey and look forward to more collaborative opportunities to support our athletes in and out of competition.
