Blistering start to 2023-24 track season Canberra Running Coach, November 11, 2023February 7, 2024 Nate Halpin has got his season off to a bright start by running his fastest 100m time since Nationals in March 2022. Racing against his former FAST teammate Caleb Joliffe, Nate clocked 12.52s to get the early season bragging rights at today’s Summer Series Event. Nate is hoping to drop another 0.4s by Christmas this year as he chases his next Australian Track and Field Record. The Season Best highlights Nate’s preparation is going well so far. This is despite wearing a pair of borrowed spikes that had their heyday at the Beijing Olympics. Mathias Lal has also continued his impressive season start with a new Personal Best in the 200m last weekend in what was less than ideal conditions at Woden Park. Mathias improved his 200m time by 0.6s in finishing second in his heat in 25.17s. That’s two PBs in consecutive weeks for Mathias as he chases better consistency this season.
